Hopscotch Corner came about when Helen and Sharon were looking for an alternative to the Childcare options around in the local area. Looking back to their own childhood, they wanted children in their care to have the opportunity to take advantage of “everyday experiences’. They believed that experiencing the outdoors, shopping trips, cooking clubs and forest school sessions would enhance their childhood learning experiences. With this in mind our aim was to provide excellent childcare for the individual child which would compliment their home family life. Children are encouraged to develop and learn at their own pace. This provides the best preparation for their transition into school. By working with key children, staff ensure that all areas of their learning and development are considered. In Sept 2023, Hopscotch Corner expanded into Ripponden where they took over an additional setting; Hilltops Pre School.
