Meet the team
Hopscotch Corner is a family run business, owned and managed by Helen and Sharon Scott. We have an experienced team providing focused and age specific childcare, with highly trained staff to Level 3 and above.

Helen
Owner
As a mother of two children, I am passionate about childcare, which is what encouraged me to create Hopscotch Corner. I believe we have created a warm, secure and friendly setting. I feel privileged to work with the team and children at Hopscotch Corner and am very proud of what we have created together.

Leanne
Early Years Manager (Deputy SENCO)
My name is Leanne and I have worked at Hopscotch since 2009. It’s been the best some of the most rewarding years seeing the children grow and develop into the people they are today. What I love most about my job is knowing I’m making a difference in someone’s life, helping them develop and grow. I have 2 children of my own who are my world. In my spare time, I like to socialise with friends, go on holiday and being a mother, spending most of my weekends at football.

Vicki
Early Years Support Assistant
I am passionate about supporting young children’s development. It brings me such joy to be able to help children flourish and thrive. I have completed numerous courses before joining Hopscotch Corner in 2023, including a children and young persons mental health diploma, and teaching English as a foreign language. I have experience of working in local schools, as well as previously home educating my older two children from age 5 and 6 until they started college at age 14. I enjoy spending time with my 3 children and close family and having game and movie nights together on a weekend.

Amy
Early Years Practitioner
My name is Amy. I have worked in childcare for around 10 years now, through nursery settings and 2 years in residential care. I have been at Hopscotch Corner since April 2025. I am really enjoying the role and getting to know the children, and I feel settled within the Hopscotch family. When I am not at Hopscotch, I’m busy being a mum to my 3 children and 2 fur babies, which I absolutely love! We enjoy adventures, walks, days out, and making memories together!

Jade
Early Years Practitioner
My name is Jade, and I’m proud to be a new member of the Hopscotch team! I previously worked at Eureka! The national children’s museum, where I assisted with fun and educational learning in a playful setting. I’m excited to learn about what it means to be a part of the Hopscotch team and to be a part of the children’s experience here. As a parent, I understand the importance of a high standard of care and make sure that kindness and empathy are always at the centre of my performance.
